Saturday mornings are usually reserved for sleeping in and lounging around the house. Maybe you hang out with friends or go to the mall but when you have a six month old everything changes.
My Saturday routine changed during the time I was pregnant. I was no longer able to sleep in, my growing baby made sure of that (lol). I would rise on Saturday Morning at 4:00 or 5:00 wide awake and unable to go back to sleep. I am not one to be lazy, unless I am sick, began using this time to watch tv, clean the kitchen and then I decided to use that time to do some necessary errands. Grocery shopping on a Saturday Morning can be a challenging undertaking, but it can also be a great time to yourself, to plan for your weeks meals and to lead a healthy lifestyle.
The grocery store closest to me is a Trader Joes, I live about 3 minutes away so it was a no brainer. Though I am not able to do all of my grocery shopping there I can get the bulk of what I need and then supplement with Amazon or Target for what they don’t carry.

No matter what I always start my grocery shopping with a stop at Starbucks. I sit for a while, enjoy a coffee and maybe breakfast and I make my grocery list. (Although now I make my list in advance)

Sometimes my little guy comes with me to keep me company! β€
Trader Joes is great because of how frequently they get shipments in. I know the majority of what I am getting is fresh and healthy. My favorite snacks to buy are their dessert yogurts. They are the perfect substitute for an ice cream and the salty sweet aspect is just to die for! I also love their cookie dunkers!

The last reason I love shopping at Trader Joe’s is the prices. I never spend over my budget (unless my husband comes with me), and I always leave knowing my family will be well fed with good nutritious food.

*this post is not sponsored in any way, I just really love trader joes. π
